How-to (not) make a Gingerbread house

We had a lot of fun at our first attempt at making a gingerbread house. Thank god for kits, because I can't imagine how much work it is to make these things from scratch!

My favorite part of the gingerbread house is the candy that Addie sucked on for a while, and then got tired of, so she decided to stick it on the top of the house. Only the candy was starting to melt, so the melting candy and saliva ran down the side of the house. Yum!
