Gymnastics

Addie started gymnastics the other week and LOVED it! I have never ever seen her listen so well :)

Here she is (with me in the back left hand corner) walking on the balance beam. The lady in the brown pants and the heather gray tee-shirt with her back facing is her teacher, Miss Amanda.

All the little kids have a "spot" a little plastic shape that they carry around and put on the ground to sit on. Addie was very serious about her "spot" and wouldn't let me touch it!

After doing activities in the toddler gym, we headed to the big kids gym to jump on the trampolines. They all get in a line like a choo-choo train and use their "spot" like a steering wheel, its really cute!

Addie sitting patiently (yes, I couldn't believe it either!) waiting for her turn to jump on the big trampoline.

Back in the toddler gym, all the kids sitting on their spots. You can see Addie -- it was so cute, when she was on her spot she would pretty much sit perfectly still, and you can see how straight up she is sitting! She is going to LOVE school (she must get this from her Aunt Sarah)!

We got to attempt a backwards roll down the wedge. The first task was to get Addie to sit on it!

Then once we sat down, she was supposed to lay back and put her hands up. Try explaining this to a two year old!

But low and behold she did it -- and even did a perfect summersalt!

Now we got to wait in line again, but this time Addie was getting antsy -- she wanted to do it all.

Doesn't she look like she's ready to just bust out a flip or something??? She is such a little monkey!

Up on the bars -- she did a flip over them (with help on both sides from Mommy and Miss Amanda!)

That is GREAT that you've found an outlet for all her energy!! And something she's interested enough in to sit still for! That's awesome! Looks like a great gym/program. Wish I could be there to see her monkeying around! You'll have to have her show me some of her tricks while you guys are here. :)
