Christmas in Missouri

We were able to spend the weekend after Christmas in Missouri with my dad and grandmother. But Addie wasn't feeling very well by this point. Saturday afternoon she started to run a little temp (which would last through the following Thursday and was as high as 105.5). Our pediatrician was baffled by the fever -- and seemed to think it was probably just another virus of some sort that had to run it's course.
Luckily in Missouri we had Grandpa Joe to help calm her down, and take a turn when mom and dad didn't know what to do!!!
Addie and Grandpa Joe settled in for an afternoon nap -- which turned out to be just what the doctor ordered!!!
Addie wasn't feeling well, and was too tired/upset to fall asleep on her own. So Grandpa Joe volunteered to rock with her until she could calm down enough to take a nap.
She was upset at first -- but started to calm down when she realized she wasn't going anywhere :) And having her trusty blankie always helps!!!
I even caught both of them snoozing later on... you always wonder who fell asleep first :)
Naptime... finally!!!
Grandpa Joe waking up.... but Addie is down for the count! Poor thing was exhausted :(
Later that evening we had everyone over! Betty (my dad's girlfriend) invited her daughter Sheryl, and her husband Aaron, and their children over for the evening. Sitting at the table is Corey, Aaron, their son Joshua, and you can see the back of Melissa's head (my sister) and then you can see Addie in the back running around in her pj's.
Betty and Sheryl are playing domino's on the floor with Sheryl's youngest, Julia.
Playing yatzee i think... Corey, Aaron, Melissa, and Joe.
Addie had to join in :)
Watching TV -- Lydia and Addisen
Joshua, Lydia, and Addisen
They are all mesmerized :)

Betty got all of the kids these awesome blankets for Christmas. (can ya tell Addie likes blankets?)
