Happy Holidays!

Well we are finally back home. Addie is napping upstairs as I write this. We have had a whirlwind Christmas season -- starting last weekend (Dec. 20 & 21st) which were spent in Minden, Nebraska at Corey's grandmother's house. I had to work that weekend, but was able to get Sunday off, and joined them late Saturday night. We came home Sunday evening, and both Corey & I had to work Monday-Wednesday.

Christmas Eve (thursday) we headed to Corey's parents house in Gothenburg, NE to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with his family. Christmas Eve was very enjoyable -- we went to their Christmas Eve service at their church in North Platte, and then came back to Gothenburg and went through their local KOA campground does a HUGE christmas display. We really enjoyed driving through it and listening to Christmas carols on the radio. Sometimes they even have a hayrack ride, but it was too cold this year!!!

Christmas Day Corey's brother Kevin, and his sister Amy and her husband Travis and three children (Lindsay, Jace, and Ashyln) all came to join in the festivities. We sure had fun watching all the kids open their presents!!!

That evening we got in the car again and headed back home. We spent a heavenly night at home in our bed, and then set out to Missouri for another christmas :) We made it to my dad's place in Missouri about 4pm. We stopped and picked up my sister, Melissa. We spent the weekend with my dad, his girlfriend Betty, my grandma, and my sister Melissa. Betty's daughter and her husband and their 4 kids even stopped by to celebrate the holiday's with us. They made Corey a very special Christmas present -- we had taken all of Corey's old tee-shirts from high school, and they made it into a quilt for him.

We made it home last night about 6pm. And Addie got to celebrate her 4th and final Christmas at home with just her parents. By the time she had her presents open there was wrapping paper in the entire living room!!!

Addie's been running a little fever, so we've been keeping her home today. She is still running around like crazy, just has been a little warm. The highest her temp has been was 103 -- but it always comes down with some Tylenol. So hopefully she'll get over this soon! I have tommorow off work, so she'll be home with me either way.

Hope everyone else survived the holidays! And I will get pictures posted when I get around to it :)
